Tonsils

Wednesday, I had my tonsils removed. Yeah. I had this done because I have had strep throat continuously since the first of January. I hadn't felt this good in three months. Seriously. Today is Friday... I feel yucky. My throat opening is the size of a dime. The back of my throat is all white, and black. I feel swollen. I don't feel sick any more, just sore.

I would like to say, that out of the six surgeries that I have had, this is by far the easiest. Thank heavens.

Thanks to my Mom and Dad, without, over the past year, I wouldn't have survived. Thank you guys for all that you have done, and continue to do for me. Thanks to my husband, who has waited on me hand and foot over the last ten months and four surgeries. And, Monkey, who never is without a smile.

Last week, my hubby came home from work sick.
Nothing wrong with that.
He went upstairs, came down in Jammie's,
and when I told him to stay away from me,
he pouted.
I have very little sympathy trying to keep my house together, recovering from 3 major surgeries this past 10 months, with a fourth coming up
Then not feeling like I had sympathized with him enough, he crawled up the stairs.
(During this time, I was trying to wait on him.)
I had very little patience with this.
A few days later, my sisters, my mom and I, went to see a movie. Yeah! The first free time I have had in months.
I came home, and hubby, not wanting to go unnoticed, said "I am really sick".
I said "Really, whats wrong?"
H: "I have a really high temperature."
M: "How do you know?"
H: "I took my temperature."
M: " With what?" not thinking he would use an infant thermometer.
H: " Monkey's thermometer."
M: "OH, how high was it?"
H: said seriously " 97 degrees!"
M: as I am trying not to laugh, because he is so serious
"Dear, your regular temperature should be 98.6. "
H: " Well I am hotter now, really I am burning up"
Husbands.
Another thing this week, is loading the dishwasher.
When H loads the Dishwasher, he either fills it to the brim,
not turning it on, or he fills it with a few items, and turns it on.
Shouldn't it be the other way around?

Story Time

I don't remember the last movie I saw. Maybe it was Chuck and Larry.
I don't know. This past week was wonderful, I had a little bit of spare time.
That doesn't happen often these days.
Monkey keeps us running after her. She loves the toilet,
or figuring out how to make the water running from the spout,
into a falling shower.
I love to read, and it has been a long, long time since I have had time.
I love mysteries, fiction, and historical novels.
I had time to read three books.
Yes, three.
The first one came out in movie format on Friday,
I haven't had a chance to go
watch it, yet. I think I will have to find some time.
The Other Bolyn Girl, was wonderful.
I love history even if some of the people were fictional.
I am so grateful that we live in a time when we are allowed to chose
whom we will love and spend our lives with.
I am grateful, that we do not have to spend our lives in fear.
I am even grateful to those women in history that changed the rules,
and challenged the mind set of people.
Reading this book, I was so in love with the author, Phillipia Gregory,
that I just had to go buy all the books of hers that I could find.
I finished The Other Bolyn Girl, in three days.
The Bolyn Inheritance, took just two.
The Queens Fool, took three.
But sadly, The Virgins lover, I have been reading for five,
and have not made it through much.
I am busy. Not more than other people.
Just I love my little family, and spending time with them.
But if you do want some light reading, four to six hundred pages
a book, I would suggest these.
